Jeffrey Hausfeld M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.S., Chairman

Jeffrey Hausfeld, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.S. serves as Chairman of the Board of BioFactura as well as Chief Medical Officer as the Company develops its biosimilar and biodefense products.  Dr. Hausfeld also manages investor relations and orchestrated the oversubscribed Series A and Series B Financing of BioFactura and is one of the Company’s largest private investors. Dr. Hausfeld will continue to be instrumental in providing strategic perspectives and plans for the targeted deployment of resources, the designing of clinical trials, expanding business development within the Biotech and business communities, as well as monitoring the financial well-being and governance aspects for BioFactura.

In addition to his activities at BioFactura, Dr. Hausfeld is presently developing assisted living facilities specializing in Alzheimer’s and dementia care.  He serves as a consultant to several healthcare/life science startups in diagnostics, devices, biotech and Health IT.  Dr. Hausfeld serves as a consultant to national debt collection and debt acquisition firms specializing in medical and multi-family housing debt recovery. He also serves on the Investment Advisory Board of the Center for Innovation Technology’s Life Science Gap Fund. The fund supports promising healthcare and life sciences ventures in Virginia. Dr. Hausfeld is the Chairman and Founder of the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (www.sopenet.org), a global network focused on educating healthcare and life science professionals in Bioentrepreneurship and Innovation.
