Fully Human Antibody Discovery
VeriCyte is a novel antibody discovery platform that utilizes an innovative human immune cell-based approach. The VeriCyte process begins with the harvesting of memory B cells from human donors or Hu-M mice. Cells of interest are captured by flowing them across an antigen or ligand (drug target) functionalized surface in a biological microelectro-mechanical system (bioMEMS). Captured cells then are activated and cultured in the device. Target-specific, mAb secreting clonal cell colonies then are selected for further characterization. Production cell lines can be generated by direct immortalization using Ben Gurion’s human hybridoma technology or mAb genes can be cloned into BioFactura’s StableFast manufacturing cell line.
